Once more into the 80s - B.A. Robertson - Initial Success

B.A. Robertson - Initial Success

01 - Gonzo for My Girlfriend
02 - Man or a Mouse
03 - Goosebumps
04 - Fallin in Luv
05 - Kool In The Kaftan
06 - Bang Bang
07 - Eat Your Heart Out Sandy Nelson
08 - the B Side
09 - To Be Or Not To Be
10 - She's a Beezer
11 - England's Green & Pheasant Land
12 - Walking Rover
13 - Knocked It Off
14 - Here I Sit

First off... not my rip. It's one I've been searching for for a long while. Prior to this I had a crappy 128kbps version from here. But in the comments on Frisian's Other Favorites post of another of Robertson's albums "Bully For You", Anonymous John tracked down a 320kbps vinyl rip.

But couldn't get the download to work. But I did! And cleaned up the track names and did the MP3 tags properly.

So here it is, a real trip back to nostalgia land for me. I can remember when Darren Pennington gave me a taped copy and listening to it on one of this kind of tape player...
...In MONO!!!!

Yes, back then Home Taping was Killing Music kids!!! And we had the fucking technology!!!!

Hey there Kingsi & thanks for link & nice comments & yep, had one of those mono-tape-players too, even placed it in front of a speaker from the radio in those 70's and recorded some tunes that way, talk 'bout poor quality :o) John

Fantastic, just love BA Robertson music www.barobertson.weebly.com is what I started a few weeks ago and had this on Tape and Vinyl and in the last few years I put on MP3 but the quality was crap. Look forward to listening to this and just checked quality, brilliant, thanks a million. Have you anymore albums from BA ie. Shadow of a Thin Man or Wringing Applause I cannot get them anywhere.

Hi Hugh,

Nope this is all I have and there's Bully for you over on Frisian's Favourites.

Yeah it's HARD to find any of his stuff. Even on ebay on vinyl it's hard to see any other albums.

This is just the kind of situation that sharing ripped music online is good for. Unjustly overlooked artists who are long out of print getting exposure that they have long needed.

Thanks a lot for the B.A. Robertson post.
A great and relatively unknown artist from the early 1980s.
I, too, have the Bully For You Lp but not his other LPs.
Hopefully, we'll find them somewhere soon.
Thanks again.
