Famous by Super Deluxe

She came on like a storm
From the blind side of a memory
Soft and warm, left me seasick on the shore

A pretty cool mid 90s power pop/alternative record. Very much in the style of The Posies. Highlights are "She Came On", "Flustered" and "Dissapearing".

80s Cheez 04 - YoYo by Bourgeois Tagg

It's getting so you never know
When things are better left alone

Bourgeois Tagg - Yoyo

01 - Best Of All Possible Worlds
02 - Cry Like A Baby
03 - Pencil & Paper
04 - Out Of My Mind
05 - 15 Minutes In The Sun
06 - Waiting For The Worm To Turn
07 - I Don't Mind At All
08 - What's Wrong With This Picture
09 - Stress
10 - Coma

Well, we're back in 80s land. As unpopular as it may be. Another lost gem from the decade of distaste.

Best known for the utterly gorgeous "I Don't Mind At All" single, their one and only album is pretty damn good, and very much of it's time. Tinkly DX7s, chorused fretless bass and parping synth brass abound, but good solid songs are in there too.

Tripping Daisy - Bill

Bill by Tripping Daisy
Pt. 1 Pt.2
(I hate multipart rars but this 320 rip needed splitting to fit on rapidshare)

01 - My Umbrella
02 - One Through Four
03 - Lost and Found
04 - Change of Mind
05 - On the Ground
06 - Morning
07 - Blown Away
08 - Brown-Eyed Pickle Boy
09 - Miles and Miles of Pain
10 - Triangle
11 - Hidden Track

Their first album, not as good as the one that followed it. Or indeed the one that followed that. But still a pretty good "alternative" album from the early 90s.

After School Special by Teen Machine

Cos they're just coming over for to see my mom
She's wearing a bikini while she waters the lawn

After School Special by Teen Machine

01 - Bitchin' Camaro
02 - I'm Gonna Steal Your Girlfriend
03 - Training Wheels
04 - Sugarland
05 - Pop Stars
06 - Hot Mom
07 - Demolition Girl
08 - Sissies
09 - Does Your Mother Know?
10 - The Ballad of Cosmica the Space Girl
11 - Yummy Yummy Yummy
12 - School's Over

Sugary and bubble-gummy rocking power pop. Though CDBaby says this "CD coming back in stock soon" I've been waiting for a year for it to actually get back in stock. And their website looks to have disappeared to be replaced by one of those domain holding pages. So it was off to fleabay where I got one cheap. Surprisingly cheap because on Amazon.com it's currently going for circa $50 second hand. Fuck that ladies and gents, it's good, not that good.

The track Hot Mom is like The Fountains Of Wayne's track Stacy's Mom from Stacy's point of view, though it's Mandy in this case, classic!
